Anne-Laure Cano.

As the potter manipulates the clay into form and produces pots...Over time one learns that clay manipulate the potter and forms man.

Just in front of the Centre Pompidou recessed in the Place Beaubourg there is a small building created by architects Renzo Piano, an exact reconstruction of the L’Atelier Brancusi.

Stone, plaster, marble dust and wood fill the space where tools, finished works and raw materials make for a beautifully peaceful and highly personal atmosphere. Finished works can of course be seen across the Plaza in the Centre Pompidou. However the real work is the studio itself.

Running through the heart of Sam Hall’s exhibition for Puls Ceramics are these two observations.

Sam Hall has been making since 1995 and over the last 20 years has been producing a consistent and significant series of identifiable work

He was born in West Yorkshire U.K. and studied ceramics at Harrogate & Loughborough colleges. He now lives and works in St.Ives, Cornwall.
