Palma Babos (Personal show 2016).

For Jin Eui Kim (South Korea) the visual representation of his ceramics is mostly based on illusory optical effects. His debut show at PULS offers viewers an insight in how pattern and tone influence the awareness of form. Kim manipulates with great perfection the perception of a 3-D structure by an arrangement of bands on the surface of his perfect sculptural objects. He does so by playing with gradient, width and interval in as many as 18 different tones which he applies with great precision.
